High-pitched squealing noise while turning right?

Been hearing a somewhat high-pitched squealing noise from what sounds like it’s most likely emanating from the front passenger wheel. Sometimes it’ll occur within a minute or two from starting the vehicle, but a majority of the time it’ll start making the squealing noise approximately 5-15 minutes (assuming the noise occurring a few minutes longer from startup is temperature related).

This noise sounds different from the typical brake squeal, plus I just had brakes and rotors replaced about 5,000 miles ago. The noise will mostly occur while turning right, sometimes there is no noise. It’ll emit the noise sometimes when driving down a straight road and the steering wheel is the slightest bit off centered towards the right as well. Also, the pitch or tone of the squealing noise will be consistent no matter the speed (at low or higher speeds, when in reserve, while braking, or accelerating, even with foot off the gas).
The only time the tone or pitch of the squealing noise does change is contingent of the degree to which the steering wheel is turned in the right direction.

Not sure if this is suspension related or steering issue?
I ordered both front wheel hub assemblies since the last time I had them replaced was way back when my vehicle had 90,000 miles.
I also ordered a new serpentine belt as well since I saw that my current one has just started to wear out with a few tiny hairline cracks. Along with brand new sway bar bushings since the two up front are definitely shot and worn out.

Not particularly sure if this noise is possibly suspension related, or possibly the belt or also read online about possibly the power steering pump?
Any advice or suggestions about my issue would be greatly appreciated!
Have a blessed day.

Hi,

Based on what you described, I suspect it could be a few different things. Since the brakes were recently replaced, do me a favor. Behind the brake rotor is a dust shield. They can get bent and touch the rotor. Confirm that hasn't happened.

On the other hand, it could be a wheel bearing. If the sound is noticed when turning right, there is a better chance that the left side is bad. When turning right, the weight distribution changes, and more is placed on the left side of the vehicle.

As far as suspension, that wouldn't make a continuous squeal. Also, since applying the brakes doesn't change it, the brakes are likely fine.

Take a look at the pic below. I highlighted the dust shield in the pic. See if there is any evidence of it touching the rotor. Also, if the sound is loud enough, record it and upload it for me to hear.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
