High idle

Hi there. My car has high idling when i am driving at a high speed..it feels as if it needs to resolve to gear six. it makes noise which tells the car is having issues.

scan for codes first and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent gauge and can scan.

oh forgot , also check for a vacuum leak.
