High idling and accelerator sticking and takes

Idles high and accelerator sticks and takes off by itself. I have to ride the brakes at times because car is going too fast. we have replace several parts and no luck.

Hi,

That sounds dangerous. What I recommend is this: The car has a throttle cable that runs from in the vehicle to the throttle body under the hood. With the engine off, press and release the throttle to see if there is anything sticking.

I attached a few pics below showing a few places to check. If you find the cable is frayed or damaged in any way, replace it.

Let me know what you find.
