When I start the car it idles to 3,500 rpm's. I have changed the idle air control valve, the TPS sensor and mass air flow sensor. I have checked for vacuum leaks and have found none. I have people saying it is a computer issue. Any ideas?

Hello, I am Danny.

Does the Idle stay at 3500 RPM or go down after a period of time? And yes, the Idle speed is usually non-adjustable and is controlled by the ECM (Engine Control Module). Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

Hello again.

One last thing you can do is clean the throttle blades. Use a strong throttle body type aerosol cleaner to get the carbon/junk off the blades. Since you have already changed the TPS and IAC are you certain there are no vacuum leaks? After cleaning the throttle blades if there is no change then you have a problem with the PCM (Power-train Control Module). The PCM is what ultimately controls the Idle speed and fuel mixture. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
