On the dipstick the oil level is very high. Oil was changed two weeks ago by an experienced man. The engine sometimes will not start and sometimes it runs fine. Coolant level looks okay. Mechanic in town heated up the hpop and the truck started up and ran, but this was before I noticed the very high oil level. Truck did not start today.

It is possible that you have two issues but I suspect the over full oil and hard starting are the same issue and that is the injectors.

These trucks are known for filling the crankcase with fuel due to injectors that are leaking. Clearly if the oil was not overfilled then it is not going to produce more oil so something else is causing the level to rise. If you found no coolant then the most likely cause is fuel. When you add in the hard starting I am sure this is your issue.

I attached a few documents that go over some of this. Next step is to check for codes and go from there.
