if the ebrakes were in pieces it was probably left on at some point. the code is a brake pressure sensor in abs unit which is not serviceable. the fix is brake module replacement meaning your abs unit

Ok, after checking prices I decided to disconnect the ABS System by removing the 40amp Fuse, seemed to do the trick then 2 days later done it again was able to jack vehicle up and front drivers side was locked up, passenger side fine and rear fine. Would this still indicate ABS Pump? Was thinking either failing caliper or brake hose, only does it when it has been driven a while and not all the time and usually happens after using brake at some point, no rime or reason never had this come up in all my years as a mechanic.

i'd have to go with a caliper problem like maybe rust not letting it slide. Of course it could also be a stuck caliper as well. I'd kinda have to rule out hose but you can never tell these days lol.

Ok, was able to take good look at it today the caliper, while cold, slides easily and pistons push in easily. Tomorrow will be replacing e-brakes and will remove caliper, clean and lube slides.

has someone put a union in the brake line? if they have then the union with compression fittings will hold fluid and cause this. also maybe the brake hose its a cheap enough fix. the ebrake on the rear isn't the problem if your problem is on the fornt.

I'm replacing e-brake because when this first happen she took it to a shop and they checked the brake system and said the e-brake shoes were in pieces.

And no unions in brake lines. Will take caliper off Mon morning clean and lube the slides and see what happens. If continues will replace hose then caliper if needed. will let you know... thanks

Ok, well cleaned slides and lubed on monday no change, replaced caliper today and still no change except now when left front caliper locks up can open bleeder and brakes free. So, have ordered brake hose and will replace in morning.... Have a feeling was combo of the caliper and hose...

Oh, also went to change the E-Brake that the shop told my wife was in pieces, well guess the shop was hoping to get her permission to replace them for No Reason, took rotors off and e-brakes were in great shape still had about half shoe left. Won't go back to them...

Ok, I am at a lose... Replaced caliper and hose still same problem, except now not getting the Service Traction Control or Stability trac. Any other suggestions

sorry looks like I led you down' the wrong path , I didn't look at the original code that you got. pic show how to service it but it looks like it's gonna have to replace abs unit. the other codes will set due to abs problem.

Ok, but if the caliper and hose were bad, causing an erratic signal to the EBCM could it have caused the DTC to set. If so would it need to be cleared in order to reset the ECBM and the condition to be fixed? I cannot find anything on this I was up most of the night reading about it, but nothing concerning the failure of a caliper or hose possibly causing the DTC to set. My biggest concern is that if I replace the ECBM it not be the cause and that about $350 from Dealer. A family friend who's also a mechanic asked his Brake Guy about it and said it could be the Master Cylinder.

Also if I removed the Fuses for the ABS Pump wouldn't it disable the ABS System and the persisting problem. I did this and the problem still persists.

no because it is one oth e main components of the abs unit itself, it is not serviceable so the whole unit needs to be rebuilt. they areavailabe for around $150 I think rebuilt but your unit has to come off.

Ok, finally got the money for the ABS Control Module. Put it in and now it won't start, turn key to on position everything has power and works, turn to start and nothing not even a click from the starter. Checked Fuses and Relays all check out tried spare key in case the chip in mine went bad for some reason. When I replace the module I did disconnect the Battery. What am I missing????

check condition of battery and load test. or you blew fuses.

Ok, had already check all fuses and relays all checked out good. Had battery checked was low so charged. Still nothing... One other thing I cannot connect to the computer with scan tool. Was wonder if since when turn key to on the Brake, Traction and stability lights are on and message center says they are off and also ready to service engine soon... This thing is driving my crazy. one simple thing and turns into a disaster...

check to see if you have fuses blown for scan tool aldl if not check connection. I have no further suggestions on anything else.

Ok, well finally found the problem...Took to dealer, I had had enough, Besides the EBCM being bad one thing I thought of but didn't seem likely was the Master Cylinder... well it was it was leaking fluid into the Power Brake Booster so now the Brake Booster and the Master Cylinder need to be replaced at a cost of another $400+

So, if anyone else has this problem with brakes locking up have them pull up on the brake pedal to see if it releases the brakes if it does have them take loose the master cylinder and look inside the booster for brake fluid... if fluid is there then they will need to replace them both...
