hesitation and car wants to die

Engine light came on,car started to hesitate and kept wanting to stall and only they could tell me is a cylinder misfire what would cause this?

it can be anything from engine ignition problems, low compression, fuel injector and any other sensor in car. Best for a pro to diagnose this and fix it.
