hesitation

2010 CHEVROLET MALIBU

When I go to accelerate, my car " hesitates", like it is not getting fuel. It then takes off hard when it does go. Was told is an o2 sensor, but want to be sure.

try cleaning throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner throttle bod does not need to be removed. then if it continues have it scanned for codes.
