Hi, i got new spark plugs, rotor, cap, spark plug wires, fuel filter, all replaced. The truck will misfire when idling mostly draining gas quick stall the fire up okay. I had one of my so-called buddy's put in the rotor and cap turns out that when he put the cap on, he broke the holes where you fasting the cap broke the distributor shaft holes connecting the cap, he put wire to hold down the cap so is the distributor shaft is shot is that why it's missing. He will never touch the truck again. Thank you

If the distributor cap and housing are broken that can be causing an issue, but it sounds like the fuel pressure regulator might be leaking which is super common with these trucks. Here is a picture of what I am talking about in the diagrams below, check out part #6, if there is fuel leaking from the hose bib it is bad, I would get an AC Delco unit to fix, you will need to remove the upper intake to get to the part. Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
