Good morning, the vehicle is not functioning properly. after I have scanned it the only code found was "camshaft position "a" timing over retarded". Is it the sensor that is bad or what?

Hello,

Well, it's awfully suspect for sure. If the computer is thinking the timing is off or not working properly you would get a hesitation. So with the code matching the symptom it's a pretty good bet it has gone bad. Here is a picture of there locations I highlighted them in yellow there at the rear of the heads up against the firewall.
Let me know if your need anything else.

Good morning, thank you.
Would I replaced the two sensors or one?

this would be the sensor closest to the firewall (right side), but I have seen this code when the oil gets low or dirty. can you confirm clean and the proper level of engine oil?
