Power steering high pressure hose replacement

Replaced power steering high pressure hose. It was blown. What should I be looking for before I fill things back up.

Good morning.

I would flush the system first to be sure there was no obstruction. That may have been the reason the hose failed.

Remove the return line and put it in a five gallon bucket. Run the engine and add fluid as needed until you get a solid flow of clean fluid. Then hook the line back on the pump and bleed the system.
