A/C light blinks six times warning comes on "oil pressure low, turn off engine"?

Hi,

If the low oil pressure light is coming on, that is likely why the AC isn't working as well. The system is designed to reduce the load on the engine.

When the light comes on and says low oil pressure, do you ever hear any ticking or knocking from the engine area?

If you do hear noise, that is a concern.

If not, chances are the oil pressure switch/sensor is faulty. It isn't an expensive part and it's not too hard to replace. I attached the directions below for you.

Before you replace it, inspect it and around it for evidence of any engine oil. If you don't see any, disconnect the sensor connector and see if oil is present in the electrical connector.

If you find oil, replace it. When you do it, please note that it is right behind the alternator. I recommend disconnecting the negative battery terminal before working in that area.

I will listen tomorrow morning and see if there are any noises. I'd go do it now, but a skunk is playing hide and seek, and I don't want him to spray me. Lol

I'm so sorry to hear about your family. That is just horrible. As far as the noise, let me know. If you want a good laugh, I'm on my front porch and there is a skunk about 20' away from me. Ugh!
