Brakes and steering not working

I need more information on the problem. what do you mean by not move? was it locked solid? and the brakes what exactly was happening there?

The steering wheel would not move, it was totally stuck and the brakes would not work at all. it was fine after she switched the car off and then back on again.

That is all a bit strange, probably would start with checking for any codes, remember that not all codes will set a check light, it looks like that you have electric steering on this model so loss of power to the motor will result in very heavy steering, as for the brakes locking up i cant see a coloration between the steering and the brakes, so get the scans done and report what is found there first.

You are welcome, post back as soon as you can as i am on leave for two weeks come this Friday and i will not be able to respond after that. i will let admin know so they can watch for any replies that need looking at for me.
