After fuel pump replacement I noticed the steering wheel stiffing when turning right?

My car has been sitting for a few weeks due to needing a fuel pump. After the repair I noticed the steering wheel stiffing whenever I turn right. There's also a strange sound coming from the steering wheel area. Any Idea what the problem could be?
