heating in the car and defroster

when trying to get heat a little heat comes out and sometimes fades
Mostly blows tepid air
Checked with a mechanic and as long as the temp ind doesn't go in the red
It is not the thermostat
Help!

check to see if both heater hoses are hot, if not pressure check system for a leak internally.it may be the actuators or control unit isn't making the actuators work. pull fuse in pic it may reset the actuators you need to leave it out for 60 seconds or so key on or off.
