The temperature knob is jammed and only goes to cold air?

Heater not working. I don’t know how to fix the control. Or if the issue is bigger than just the knob not working?

Hi,

The air temperature entering the vehicle is controlled by an air temperature control door. This door moves position to allow heat or A/C to enter the vehicle based on request.

If you have manual climate control, there is a cable that goes between the knob and the air temperature door that controls the position. Based on what you are describing, it sounds like the cable has failed, is damaged, or is disconnected. Since the vehicle is so new and with low mileage, I suspect either it came loose or the controller under the dash is loose or jammed.

If you look below, I attached the directions for the removal and replacement of the cable. I'm not suggesting it be replaced, but the directions provide information that will direct you to access it and what to look for as far as how it is working.

Take a look through them and let me know if you feel comfortable removing the controller at the HVAC box under the dash.

Let me know what you find or if you have questions. At this point, I am most interested in the controller under the dash that the cable runs to.

Take care,

Joe
