Heater shuts off engine “I think”?

So, I can use the heat/AC when my cars parked but it will not drive if the heater/AC is on. It has never done this before I'm the cars second owner if I do try driving while the heats on the car stalls out and it turns my engine and fluid lights on.

Hi,

This is likely a power issue. Have you had the battery checked (load tested)? Also, you may have a weak alternator. Take a look at this link. It explains how to test one. All you need it a voltmeter or multimeter.

Does the engine run normally when driving if the heater is off?

Let me know. Also, let me know if the check engine lamp stays on with the engine running.

Yes, the engine runs normally and no, the light doesn’t stay on.

Hi,

Wow, this is interesting. The two circuits aren't connected. That is why I'm thinking it may be a voltage issue.

Were you able to check the alternator output using the link I attached above?
