Fan blows up front but no heat or defrost heat. Back blows heat.

Good evening.

You have separate heater cores for the front and the rear.

I would check the hoses at the firewall where they go into the truck and make sure they are hot. Check both hoses and let me know.

Also, with the engine off, key on, command heat and then cool and see if you can hear the actuator motor working in the dashboard.

Motor off key on I hear faint clicking when demanding heat or cool. Do you think actuator is working?

No. You should hear the door move, not the motor clicking.

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the driver side knee bolster.
2. Locate the air temperature actuator (6).
3. Disconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector (7).

4. Remove the air temperature actuator bolts/screws (1).
5. Remove the air temperature actuator (2).
6. Remove the air temperature actuator lever (3), if necessary.
