Heater problem

After driving car for a while and turn heater on I get heat for a very short time then it turns cold. You can turn car off and restart and again you will get heat for a very short time and then it will turn cold. You can repeat with the same results.

Check fluid level in radiator, refill as needed and bleed air out of system.

How do you bleed air out of system? I did replace the thermostat.

If 3.8L see pic for location of vent. run add coolant until coolant flows from vent
