Heater performing poor

Car takes long time to warm up, heater does not work until driven over twenty miles then it works poorly. Just replaced the thermostat and fluid. Help please.

Hello,

Does the engine temperature gauge move to the normal range like the thermostat is working? It sounds like you may have a heater core that is plugged up. With the engine warm grasp both heater hoses and see if they are hot.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
