When I turn on my defrosters I can smell exhaust fumes inside of the car and my cooling fans come on a few times and the car is not even warm yet.

Hi,

If you get exhaust fumes in the vehicle when the fan is on, chances are you have an exhaust leak under the hood.

By chance, have you noticed the engine is louder, or do you hear ticking from under the vehicle or under the hood?

Let me know.
