Does it smell somewhat sweet and the film on the glass is sticky? If so that is a failed heater core. On that vehicle you need to remove the dash to get to it.

Thank you. Yes, smells almost like waffles. What will happen next? I have to drive it to work every day. May be a week before I can get it fixed. Should it run fine?

I would probably go under the hood and loop the core out of the system. Breathing that stuff can make you really sick. At the very least turn the temperature to cold and keep a window open if possible. The issue is that it could leak much worse at any time and dump hot coolant into the vehicle. A way to stop that would be to get a couple hose clamping pliers and just pinch the hoses closed. Something like what is pictured would work. Plus they would allow you to remove the core without draining the cooling system.
