heater core removal

car has air conditioning. can the heater core be removed from inside the car?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

It has been a long time, but if I recall correctly, it is in the vehicle so it has to come out from inside the vehicle regardless if it has AC. You will have to unbolt everything under the hood to actually remove it, but that is how it's done. You will also need to remove the glove box. And there are (I believe) five or six nuts under the hood that secure it to the firewall.
