it started with no heat after looking under the engine (the car was on a lift) It looks as if the heater core hose is leaking. How do i change the hoses? The fluids i add just comes out.

Here is a video of a Chevrolet but the process is about the same on your vehicle:

Below is the process on how to replace this from the manual which will give the detail needed to complete this.

Also, here is a guide that will help with pressure testing the system after you are finished to make sure there are no other leaks:

Please see the attached below and let us know if you have other questions. Thanks

Need to replace the metal heater hose assembly. Two questions...Most importantly... how does the by-pass in the heater hose assembly work? Does the metal piping have a release valve built into it that automatically opens when backpressure increases due to heater core getting clogged? Or, is it simply a smaller diameter line in the by-pass than the one that goes to the core, forcing coolant through the core by "path of least resistance" concept ?The hose assembly is incredulously wrapped around a long black plastic tube that run vertically just adjacent to the corner by the driver's side firewall, resembles an extension on a leaf blower, and is open on the end. I cant figure out how to get the assembly our without removing that tube (horn, possibly?). Thoughts?

This is most likely a heater hose so here is a guide that will help with this.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/replace-heater-hoses

Plus below is the info from the manual on how to replace these. Let us know if this is not it. If it is not, I would pressure test the system in order to find where the leaking is coming from.

Let me know what questions you have. Thanks
