After replacing the heater core it hesitates and smokes after running for a awhile?

The car listed above is a GS model. I changed heater core and assembly now it hesitates and smokes when running awhile on the side the water pump on.

Good morning,

Check the hoses for leaks around the heater core are. You need to pressure test the system.
