heater bower motor not working properly?

i have just had my car serviced, i asked them to look at the heating system, the dials work and lights come on, but nothing comes out. they called Vauxhall for a part and Vauxhall want over £400 for this part, they told me to look on Ebay for this part but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
