When the temperature is set to heat only cold air blows out even when the engine is heated up.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

This is most likely caused by one of three things. First, make sure the coolant is full. If it is, start the engine and turn the heat on high. When the engine reaches operating temperature, feel both heater core hoses on the firewall. Both should be hot. If only one is, the coolant is not flowing through the heater core. Thus, no heat.

If both heater core hoses are hot, suspect a faulty blend air door actuator. The blend door is responsible for regulating the amount of heat that enters the vehicle.

Take a look through these links and tests.

Try these things I mentioned and what is in the link. Let me know the results so I can explain what needs done and how to do it.

Take care,
Joe
