Heater blowing cold air?

Okay, when i first bought my car, it was working great. It gets really hot really quick. Yesterday my cat started over heating and i put coolant in it have now it's blowing out rant cold air.

I would start the engine and allow it to heat up, then grasp the heater hoses to see if they are hot, this way we can see if it is a cooling system problem or an HVAC issue. Double check the engine coolant level before you begin.
