For no apparent reason my heater stopped throwing heat but the A/C is working perfectly.

Hello,
Is sounds like the engine could be low on coolant or you have a temperature blend door actuator that is out. Here is a guide to help us see which:

Check out the diagrams (below) This is the fresh air actuator.
