Okay, I took my HVAC unit out. Had heat without the unit in the dash. It would blow then not. For a few weeks. Now it does not blow at all. I find it weird that it would blow without the control unit. I should say at the end it seemed like when I hit bumps it would go on and off. What can I do in the mean time for the frost on the windows while driving? Hate to put any money in it because the transmission is going out.
Thank you, Sherry

If the trans is going and the HVAC unit is bad you might just want to replace the vehicle if you don't want to do big repairs. The cost to rebuild the trans and repair the HVAC unit would be about the same as 4-5 payments on a much newer car. Or might buy a used one!

Why did you pull the HVAC unit out? if you plug it in now, what happens?
