So, this just started happening. About half the time I start my car and I turn my heater on, it doesn’t turn on right away, but turns on after a couple minutes of driving. Every other time I start it and turn it on, it starts blowing right away. Anybody got any ideas on what that would be? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It sounds like a connection issue, or the blower motor is failing. Does the blower make any odd sounds when it does work? If not, we need to check connections.

First, make sure the fusible link is in good condition and not loose or corroded. See pic 1.

In pic 2, I highlighted where the blower motor relay is located. Check that connector as well for corrosion, evidence of being overheated, and make sure it is tight. Note, we may need to come back to the relay for testing.

In pic 3 is the blower motor resister. Check the connector on that as well.

Let me know what you find or if you have questions.

Take care and Happy Easter,

Joe
