Heat shrinking butt connectors

If I heat shrink butt connectors, will that give me a solid connection such as soldering? Also, can I use a blow dryer opposed to a heat gun for shrinking the butt connectors.

Good morning,

As long as you have the connectors that will shrink and seal, yes. The standard ones that come win color such as the red and blue colors will not seal.
