Heat only on one side?

My heat had stopped working a few weeks ago And I wasn’t exactly positive what the problem was so I started with the blower motor and it was fine then I checked the climate control knob’s which ended up not being the problem but when I was putting it back together and back in its spot…I broke the knob/lever that moves up and down to control the temperature on the passenger side so now the passenger side is stuck on cold. So, now I’m trying to find where the door/flap is located so that I can manually pull it up so that it will constantly blow heat just until I can afford to buy a new climate control and put in. Or is it possible to pull a certain wire that would completely stop any and all air from even blowing out from the passenger side? I know that’s not the correct way of handling this problem but it’s freezing outside right now, and a climate control module is going to cost close to $300. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
