I would check the fuses first with the systems on, here is a guide to help you test the fuses with the key on. The wiring diagrams below with show you the fuses to check.

If the fuses are okay, I have seen the ECC (electronic climate control) go out in these cars which you can get a used onefrom eBay. Here is the HVAC system wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and how to replace the ECC as well.
