Replaced internal air heat/AC fan. Fan runs great but no air comes out of vents. Thought it could be defuser door stuck. But if it is stuck shouldn't. I still get air from top middle or floor vent? I get nothing from any vents in van any idea where I should look next?

Hi Michael,

Here's a great article on what to do when air isn't coming out of the vents and how to narrow the problem down:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/low-or-no-air-flow-from-vents

And if it does happen to be the air blend doors, here's how to replace them:

Best of luck!

Hey MICHAEL SLICK,

You have a Caravan not a Grand Caravan right?

Can you remove the heater blower fan again and inspect the air inlet and outlet passage for blockage?

A mirror or an endoscope will be very useful here.

From what you describe you must have something restricting airflow.

If you had a blend door issue you would still get air from one vent position.

Does anything change if you put it on the recirculate position instead of outside air?

I would also check under the hood along the scuttle panel where the wipers are.
If needed remove the cowl trim so that you can see where the intake for the interior air is.
If this is all blocked up you will get no flow.

Did you have the same issue before you replaced the fan when the old fan worked?

Regards, Joe
