Headlights turn on after car is turned off

2008 KIA SPORTAGE
85,000 MILES • 2.0L • 4 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

After mt car is turned off and the key is removed the headlights turn on, sometimes immediately other times not until later. I have tried removing the headlight relay under the hood, but that did not help. It does not have any aftermarket alarms or other lights.

Do you have autolamps? w/drl, w/o drl? Pulling the headlamp fuses should kill the lamps, high and lo beam.

No, there are no auto lamps at all.

In the diagram, see the 10 amp ignition fuse, check for voltage with the key off, should be no voltage, use a testlite. You have to test when problem is ongoing. If voltage with key off, either a problem with ignition switch or wiring circuit/fuse is shorted to voltage. I could not add the diagram for some reason, I will try again later.
