That should take an 33116-ST7-003 HID bulb, what is the "aftermarket bulb" ? Be advised that many of the aftermarket HID units don't work well in Honda/Acura vehicles. I also wouldn't trust any bulb that uses and adapter like that, the light source has to be in a specific location inside the lamp housing for the reflector and lens to work. That is one of the reasons why LED retrofit kits are illegal in street vehicles, any lamp not specifically designed for LEDs cannot aim the light properly. HID is similar in that there are specific positions the capsule must be in, many times the "universal fit" bulbs are not located properly. That is why the OE bulb has the alignment built into the base of the bulb.
