Hi,

If you need to lower it, there should be a small release lever on the side of where it is mounted. It has been some time since I've seen one and there isn't any specifics in my manual.

However, I found a pic of one in a Chrysler and attached it below. I circled the release button/lever to lower the headrest. Check to see if there is one similar to that on your vehicle.

Let me know. If you don't find it, I'll keep looking.

Take care,
Joe

Joe, the kind of release I saw was on the right side of this picture of the head rest, notice it is higher as the right side is level. What I did was, thanks to your idea, I simply pushed down on the right side and then the left side and it released it and it lowered back into position. Please see my picture of it and thank you again Joe.

Hi,

You are very welcome. I'm glad to hear you got it repositioned. Most people don't realize how important a headrest is in the event of a rear-end collision, so I'm happy to know yours is set.

Take care of yourself and please feel free to come back anytime in the future if you have questions or need help. You are always welcome here.

Joe
