Trying to put engine back together and it will not line up right. The engine cannot be dropped or lifted and the heads do not fit back on the way they came off. Nothing seems to fit everything seems off and in the way. Tried lifting engine, tried dropping engine, exhaust manifold in the way, no room in back to connect things. What am I doing wrong?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com. I am a bit confused. You removed the heads or the engine? If only the heads, if they came out, they should go back on.

Here are directions specific to cylinder head removal and replacement for your vehicle. Read through them and see if there is something you are missing. The attached pictures correlate with these directions.

]]B[[ CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Be careful that no foreign material gets into the cylinder, coolant passages or oil passages. Engine damage may result.
Use a scraper to clean the gasket surface of the cylinder head assembly.

Bend the tabs onto the water passage assembly. Then install the water passage assembly to the cylinder head so that the gasket does not slip.
