I don't have an air gun to get the head bolts out, what other options do I have to get the head bolts out?

The original method still works - leverage. Get a longer breaker bar and if needed a pipe you can slip over the handle. They shouldn't be all that tight. If you don't have a long bar the $15.00 25" Pittsburgh pro that Harbor Freight sells should help. I bought one years ago and it seems to be holding up just fine.
