Hazard lights fell into console?

The hazard light fell into the console while the lights were still on. How can I get to that button and reconnect it and should I turn the battery off in the meantime?

Yes, I would disconnect the battery, so it doesn't drain. You must remove the panel where the switch is to get to the switch so you can turn the hazard light system off. Here are how the panels come off so you can fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
