I unlocked my car this morning with the remote key and the hazard lights started flashing and would not turn off. Eventually they stopped after disconnecting the battery. However, now the key does not work remotely and have to unlock the door manually. Any ideas?

Hello,

It sounds like the BCM is going out. Here is a wiring diagrams of the system so you can see how it works and the location of the BCM which you will need to have programmed to work in the car. Should cost about $130.00 US for the programming. Try to remove the connectors and reconnect to fix a bad connection first.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
