Lately we have been having some trouble shifting the car into park. It seems to "stick" in reverse and if we don't catch it we have trouble starting it the next time we go to use it. I have not noticed any other transmission or other issues with the shifter (i.E. Getting it into Drive, etc.).

Thanks.

Check for linkage hanging up or a broken cable. See pics make sure to check both one goes to shift lock solenoid.

Thanks. I will try it. It got much worse yesterday when I pulled into my drive way. The indicator seems to be stuck in 2nd now. The shift lever moves freely, but the indicator on the dashboard (electronic one) stays in 2nd, which of course won't allow starting etc.

Finally had to have it towed in. Broken shift cable. Supposedly only two left in US right now. The shop had one of them FEDEXED and we are back in business. Just with a lighter wallet.
