I recently changed all my o2 sensors both upstream and downstream sensors, did a spark plug change, oil change and still having p0004 code.I have spent a lot of money trying to fix this problem and my vehicle doesn't want to erase code. Getting frustrated. Any suggestions/recommendations? I love my vehicle a lot. Also have clicking noise when reversing it doesn't look like my ball joints.

Good afternoon,

There are no P0004. Can you verify the code for me?

I attached a wiring diagram of the system for you to view. The light will not clear until the correct repair is done.

I would say you have an ECM issue. There is no fuel volume regulator or even a pressure sensor on the fuel rail of that Jeep. It has a pressure regulator as part of the pump but doesn't monitor the actual pressure. It almost has to be an internal ECM issue. It's possible that re-flashing the ECM would clear it but that would be about the only way.

P0004 is a generic OBD-II code indicating an issue with the engine control module (ECM) not reading signals from your fuel shut-off on your fuel injection rail mounted to your engine. The ECM uses the fuel shut-off valve to stop fuel from entering the engine when you turn it.

Further information indicates either a bad ECM or connections at the module.

I posted below the location and procedures for replacement.

The ECM is not getting the proper information from the sensors in the engine for fuel control. Check the wiring for any rodent damage at the ECM.
