When I push the clutch down the car does not start. What can be the problem?

Hello, I am Danny.
It sounds like you are having a problem with the clutch starter safety switch. It is mounted on the clutch pedal assembly and acts as an anti-start feature if clutch not depressed for starting. Here is a picture.
