So my vehicle when you start cranking it takes a bit but it turn over, but it idles bad and back fires. When you try to give it gas it makes it worse to the point it just shuts off. I have checked IAC, valve throttle body, MAF, TPS, and some EVAP, but everything seems to be okay. I have not checked fuel pump pressure. I hear it prime when I turn key and would think it would barely run if it was pump. The only thing that seemed to help was when I unplugged the MAF and ran it. Then it started okay and idled almost perfect but you still really could not give it any gas. I have looked at EVAP hoses the best I can and have not seen any bad ones so I am all out of options. I do not know what else to do.

Hello,

It sounds like you hit it on the money with the MAF which will cause the problem you have described.

Here is a guide to help you get the problem fixed.
