Hard starting

Engine cranks but will not start unless starting fluid is sprayed into the throttle valve.

Does it stay running after you prime it or does it stall out?

This is usually the result of a failing fuel pump. I would start by checking the fuel pressure to be sure it is working.

If there is no pressure or low pressure, it will not start without priming.
