When I start my truck it has a hard time starting sometimes takes a couple tries but I can hear the fuel pump kick on each time. Once it's running and gets to running temperature, it boggles down on idling and it has a rough idle almost like it wants to shut off. It shakes bad. Sounds like it wants to shut off. When hooking obd reader up it shows p0175 sometimes then sometimes it doesn't show anything. And I scanned it with one of the obd that is expensive and looks like a iPad. Im lost as to what is wrong with it? I need help please.

Hi,

The code indicates a rich fuel mixture. Let's start off easy. First, is the air filter clean? Have you checked fuel pressure?

Let me know. If you haven't checked fuel pressure, it could be too high due to a faulty pressure regulator.

Also, if you can get the scan tool again, check live data. I need to know if the engine coolant temp sensor is signaling the approximately ambient temperature when the engine is cold. Also, let me know what the short-term fuel trims are when running at operating temperature.

Here is a link that shows how to check fuel pressure:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
