I am experiencing hard start challenges with my vehicle listed above 504 saloon car. I have changed the spark plugs and fuel pump, which the mechanics felt were faulty, but still it doesn't work.

Kindly assist.

Hi,

This vehicle isn't offered in the US, so I have little to no technical info on it. However, I'll try to help.

First, is that the correct mileage you listed? If it is, has anyone checked engine compression?

Also, try this for me:

1) Turn the key from off to the run position (engine off) and count to 5.
2) Turn the key off.
3) Perform step 1 and 2 three times and on the forth time, see if it starts easily.

Let me know.

Hi,

The next thing I would suspect (based on mileage) is low compression. Has that been checked yet?

Will check compression, maybe what would cause low compression?

Hi,

I'm basing that idea on the number of miles on the vehicle. Piston rings will wear over the miles. If the compression starts getting lower, it can cause a hard start.

Here is a link that explains more about causes:

Let me know what you find.
