New battery, new alternator and new starter. Truck acts like battery is low, but it's not. It turns over with a lot of compression/then starts, but doesn't want to. Truck has not been driven much lately it been sitting?

Hi,

If the starter is new along with the battery, check to make sure the ground between the battery and the engine block is good. Also, confirm the positive battery cable is in good condition.

Is it possible for you to record it cranking so I can hear it? Also, if you watch the alt meter in the vehicle, does it drop below approximately 9.6V when cranking?

Let me know.

Joe

Thanks for your advice. I'm pretty sure I found it, it was the loose positive wire on the battery. I guess it got overlooked. I'm driving it now going to put some gas that and driving some more and see what it does. Thank you so much.

Dan,

I would be happy to help. However, I need you to do me a favor. I need you to copy and paste your post to a new link. We try to keep the threads specific to one topic, so they are more helpful to others. I hope you understand.

Here is the link to start a new thread:

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/new

If you haven't already, check to see if the engine will start with starting fluid and then stall and add the results on your new thread.

Take care and again, I hope you understand.
